- Art Life Collective is a small, independent
Miami-based company dedicated to providing Artists a resource
to market their work and profit from selling their work through
our site. The company was created by artists for artists.
- As artists ourselves, we understand how
difficult it can be to get creative works of art into a space
where they can easily be seen by our peers and the general public,
let alone sell them.
- ALC is a free site. Artists are never charged
for the space they use. All fees for server space and maintenance
of the site are paid for by revenues the company takes in from
sales.
- Unlike other sites on the web that share
a small portion of profits with contributing artists, as a rule,
ALC shares about one third of its profits from the sale of an
artist’s image with the artist. This generally comes to
$5.00 per sale, and is paid to the artist on a monthly or quarterly
basis, depending on the artist’s preference.
- ALC also strives to be as environmentally
friendly as possible by using heat-treated, solvent-free water-based
pigments in all its prints. This process produces rich, soft,
breathable images that will hold up wash after wash.
- In addition, ALC uses only 100-percent cotton
garments pur- chased from American Apparel, a Los Angeles-based
company dedicated to fair wages and producing the highest-quality
pro- ducts.
- ALC was founded in 2006 by Blair
Hadley, a writer and artist from Miami, Florida. The website
itself was designed and is maintained by a gifted and talented
pair of web designers from Manhattan. They are Nathan
Conrad and Jon Kowalski.
